Internship program
During a 12-week internship, you will be a full-time member on a team here at Box. Interns are encouraged and empowered to drive their own projects, ask questions, come up with solutions and own the results. We have internships for various team such as engineering, sales, marketing, HR, legal, and so much more!

Box business fellowship
The Box Business Fellowship is an opportunity for students to explore business careers in the technology industry. Over the course of one week, students learn about different roles in sales, customer success, recruiting and other departments.

In partnership with Multiverse, the apprentice program is a 15-month program specifically for individuals with an aptitude for technical skills to work on Box engineering teams. With this partnership, it allows apprentices to train through an initial 5-week bootcamp through Multiverse followed by hands on training with Box – directly impacting our strategy and products.

As a Social Media Intern in the Marketing team, the team manages the social presence for Box as a company. The Social Media team is all about getting creative about how to enhance Box’s presence online and with the media. We work with external sites and partners to ensure Box’s message and brand is not only visible, but recognized on various platforms!

We focus on making other engineers more productive by helping them focus on writing their own specific code, and by helping them build code in an automated fashion.

Box has adopted a hybrid work environment, where flexible, virtual, and office-based work combine to create opportunity for Boxers – this includes our interns! For those that live near Box hubs (centralized office locations in Redwood City, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, New York City, London, Warsaw and Tokyo), we have built working environments to best maximize our in-person work and collaboration. At the same time, we want to maximize the benefit from the flexibility of a virtual environment. We will host most intern activities virtually, but interns are also welcome to come into any of our office spaces.
Students that are currently pursuing their undergraduate bachelor’s degrees and are junior-standing.
Our internship openings are on a rolling basis each year. Software engineering internship applications will open in the winter for the following summer and any non-technical internships will open late winter/early spring for the following summer each year.
Box internships are 12 weeks long with start dates that are flexible based on whether interns attend a quarter or semester system university or college.
Our intent of the internship program is to give individuals the opportunity to explore what they want to do after graduating. Previous Box interns typically make up the majority of our new graduate classes and continue to grow their careers with Box.
For our engineering internships, you will be given a list of teams to choose from base on your interests and passions. For non-technical internships, team selection is based on candidate interest as well as team alignment and projects.
No, interns are not provided housing, however, Box has resources available to assist in finding housing including relocation stipends.
