Box Business Fellowship

For the past 6 years, we have had the pleasure of hosting over 100 students as they navigated the first steps of their early career journey. As we reflect on how the program has evolved and grown over the years, we realize our impact does not need to end when the Fellows complete the program. We have an amazing Fellowship alumni community who mean just as much to us now, as they did when they participated in the program. Due to the importance of supporting and strengthening this alumni community, we have decided to shift our focus and resources towards them. As a result, we will not be hosting a new class of fellows this spring, but look forward to offering new opportunities for engagement and growth in the future.

Box Early Career Recruiting

What is the Box Business Fellowship program?

When students think about careers in tech they think the only path is engineering. But it takes more than engineering to run a tech company.
The Box Business Fellowship is an opportunity for students to explore business careers in the tech industry. We’re especially excited to build connections with students who identify with historically underrepresented groups in tech. Over the course of one month, you will learn business essentials about different roles in business, such as Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success. You will participate in weekly workshops to learn professional development essentials in business and then practice those skills with the help of BBF Mentors. Our co-founders and executives will meet with you to answer your questions and share their experiences. At the end of the program, you will have insight into the career opportunities available and the skills to be successful in those roles.
Applications are currently not open for this program. Future details to come!

Frequently Asked Questions

For the written application, we ask you to include your resume and also answer a few quick questions about your previous experiences and what you hope to get out of the fellowship. Our team will review the applications and conduct phone interviews to learn more about you. From there we will select our Business Fellows to join the program!

No, we want to make sure everyone will be able to join!

Since this program is entirely virtual, we have the flexibility to best to schedule our program at a time our Fellows are available between their academic and personal lives. Our program will take up approximately 2 hours a week on live workshop sessions with 1 hour offline checking in with your assigned BBF Mentor. Time TBD.

Final decisions will be communicated to all applicants a few weeks prior to the start of the fellowship.

First, you’ll understand how a tech company operates and the different careers available on the business side. You’ll hear about the day to day responsibilities of Box employees in Sales, Customer Success, Recruiting, and other functions. We also want to equip you with the skills you need to start your career in these roles through workshops and practice sessions. Ultimately, we want the experience to be valuable for you, so once we have chosen our finalists, we will work with you to refine the curriculum to your interests.

We want to enable you to learn more about different career opportunities and ultimately to pursue those opportunities. At the end of the fellowship, all candidates will have the opportunity to be considered for internship or full-time roles at Box.
